Sunday Morning Worship

During the Sunday morning service we worship God through the singing of songs, reading of the Scriptures, and sharing of our individual thoughts and gifts. We listen to the Spirit by praying and sharing together, listening to music, and hearing a devotional message. Christian education is provided in classes for children and adults, and child care is provided all morning for children up to two years old.

The Shalom congregation fosters healthy relationships with God and between each other, becoming more diverse as we welcome more people. On a typical Sunday morning we have about 75-90 people, including children and adults with ages scattered in every decade through eighty. We are teachers, students, store clerks, nurses, doctors, counselors, engineers, retirees, mothers, fathers, singles, gardeners, musicians, sports fans, and more. As each of us confronts struggles in life, we find the congregation to be supportive as we work to maintain our Covenant to God and each other. We value the views and opinions of each person and strive for concensus.
